Why 2700 K and not something cooler?

2700 K is close to the colour of a household lamp and of the last light of the day, so a lit garden reads as warm rather than as a car park. Anything cooler makes planting look grey and makes bluestone look like concrete.

Can I add to the system later?

Yes — that is why we size the transformer to run at 60%. There is 40% headroom for the next phase, so adding a pergola or a set of steps later does not mean replacing the whole system.

Lighting is the difference between a terrace you use four months a year and one you use eight. Everything is 12 V and 2700 K — one colour temperature across the whole property, because mixed temperatures are the single most obvious sign of a job done in pieces. Fixtures are aimed after dark, with you standing there.
